Dispatch Schedule

Orders are typically dispatched within 48 hours of purchase, weather permitting.

In periods of extreme temperatures (very hot or very cold), dispatch may be delayed at our discretion to protect the welfare of the animals. If this occurs, we will contact you directly.

If alternative postage is required, please contact us before ordering to arrange a custom shipping quote.


UK Shipping Only

Wiggly Woodlice ships within the United Kingdom only.

We do not ship internationally under any circumstances.


Heat Packs 

From October to March, appropriate heat protection will be used where required.

From April to September, heat packs will not be supplied unless specifically requested at additional cost.

It is the customer’s responsibility to consider local temperatures before placing an order. If extreme temperatures are forecast, we may delay dispatch to protect livestock.


Live Arrival Guarantee (LAG)

We are committed to ensuring your isopods arrive safely and in excellent condition.

Our Live Arrival Guarantee applies only to live animals shipped via Royal Mail Special 1PM Delivery.

To qualify for a replacement:

• The parcel must be opened within 1 hour of the recorded delivery time
• Clear photographic or video evidence of any DOA (Dead On Arrival) specimens must be provided
• You must contact us within that same 1-hour window

If additional isopods are included in your order to account for potential transit loss, these extras are not covered under the guarantee.

Late claims cannot be accepted, as we cannot control environmental conditions once delivery has been completed.

Replacements will be arranged at our discretion once evidence has been reviewed.


Delivery Delays

While Royal Mail Special Delivery is highly reliable, delays can occasionally occur due to:

• Adverse weather
• Courier disruption
• Industrial action
• Events outside our control

We do not issue postage refunds for delayed parcels, as courier delays are beyond our control.


Order Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled prior to dispatch.

Once an order has been dispatched, it cannot be cancelled or refunded.

Due to the nature of live animals, returns are not accepted.


Responsibility

By placing an order, you confirm that:

• You understand the care requirements of the species purchased
• You will be available to receive and open the parcel upon delivery
• You accept responsibility for the livestock once delivered
